FM27 is the next Football Manager, and it isn't out yet. Until it is, Gaffa is a free football manager you can play right now, with 2026/27 squads and updated player ratings for 492 clubs in 28 leagues.
When is FM27 out?
Sports Interactive announces each release date itself, so check their official channels for the confirmed date. Past Football Manager games have usually launched in the autumn, around the start of November, with a beta for pre-orders a couple of weeks earlier.
Whenever it lands, FM27 will start in the season it releases in, so its squads and ratings will be a snapshot of that moment.
What FM27 is likely to change
- A new database: squads and ratings for the new season, replacing FM26's 2025/26 starting point.
- More work on FM26's new engine: FM26 moved the series to a new engine and interface, and later versions usually build on that.
- Licences and leagues: each release adds or changes licensed competitions. Check the official announcements for FM27's list.
