What you can do in Gaffa

Pick a club and manage it for as long as you like. Every week brings decisions, and every season a new set of targets from the board.

  • Tactics and matchdays. Pick the eleven, choose the formation and team instructions, then play the match.
  • Transfers and contracts. Scout, bid, and agree wages and contract length with the players you want.
  • Training and youth. Set training, run the academy and bring the kids through to the first team.
  • Board, cups and Europe. Meet the board's objectives, go for the cups and qualify for continental football.

  • Deep Cut. One question, three answers. The rarer your pick, the higher it scores.

  • 60 Seconds. One category, one minute. Name as many players as you can.

How the draft games work

Each game uses this season's Premier League squads. You fill eleven spots in a 4-4-2, one signing per spin. Before you sign, you only see a band (a rough range), so the skill is in knowing the players. Whatever you pick, at least one player on the next spin still keeps a win possible.

Academy graduates cost £0 in the transfer fee games. The big number is the target, not a stat, and the total stays hidden until everyone has signed. Read the full draft games guide.

Is BALLKNW actually free?

Yes. Every game on ballknw.com is free to play in your browser: no download, no paywall and nothing to buy on the website. The site is paid for by advertising, which only loads if you accept cookies.

Do I need an account to play or save my progress?

Not to start. Your save is kept in your browser automatically. A free account (email and password) backs your career up so you can play on any device, and after two days of play you need one to start a new season.

Can I play Gaffa offline?

Yes. Open it once while you are online so your browser can save the game to your device, and after that it runs with no connection at all — on a plane, on the Underground, anywhere. Your club and your season are stored on the device rather than on a server, so it plays without a connection. A free account adds a backup you can load on other devices. Ads are the one thing that needs a connection, so an offline session simply has none.

How do I install Gaffa on my phone?

From the browser, with no app store involved. On an iPhone or iPad, open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the Chrome menu and tap Install app. On a desktop, use the install icon in the address bar in Chrome or Edge. Step-by-step instructions are in the no-signal section above.

What can I do in Gaffa?

Pick any of 492 real clubs across 28 leagues in 25 countries and manage it season after season: tactics, transfers, contracts, cups, European competition and a youth academy. You get three save slots, and your saves live in your browser.

Where does the player and squad data come from?

Gaffa's squads and player ratings follow the EA Sports FC 27 database, with contracts, wages and values carried over from FC 26 where a player appears in both. League strength is worked out from the squads, not taken from an outside feed. The data was last updated on 26 September 2026. The draft games use public sources such as Transfermarkt, Fantasy Premier League and Wikipedia.

No. BALLKNW is an independent, unofficial, fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sports Interactive, SEGA, EA Sports, FIFA, the Premier League, the English Football League, or any club or competition. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. We use official data and names descriptively for gameplay, with proper attribution.
