Football games like Wordle
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone, a streak to protect and a result to paste in the group chat. Here are five football versions.
BALLKNW has five free daily football games built like Wordle: Daily Draft, Deep Cut, Crowd Favourite, 60 Seconds and Higher or Lower. Each resets at midnight UK time, gives everyone the same puzzle, keeps a streak and ends with a result you can share.
What makes a game "like Wordle"
Wordle worked because of a few simple rules, and the best football versions keep all of them:
- One puzzle a day. You cannot binge it, so you come back tomorrow.
- The same puzzle for everyone. That is what makes comparing results fair, and what starts the arguments.
- A streak. Missing a day costs you something.
- A spoiler-free result to share. A grid or a score you can paste anywhere without giving the answer away.
Every BALLKNW daily game follows those rules, uses this season's Premier League squads, and needs no download or account.
The five daily football games
| Game | The daily puzzle | Good if you like |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Draft | Spin clubs, sign a 4-4-2 and land on a target: fees, caps, ages and more. 18 boards. | Planning and maths |
| Deep Cut | One question, three answers. The fewer other players who gave your answer, the better. | Obscure names |
| Crowd Favourite | Guess the answers most people gave to yesterday's Deep Cut. | Reading the room |
| 60 Seconds | One category, one minute: name as many players as you can. | Speed and recall |
| Higher or Lower | Is the next player's stat higher or lower? One life. | Stats and nerve |
All five are on the daily games page, which shows which ones you have done today.
Streaks and leaderboards
Your streak is saved in your browser, and follows you to other devices if you sign in. Each game also has a daily top ten: sign in and pick a nickname to appear on it. Practice rounds never touch your streak.
