How the quizzes work

Press Start and type. Each right answer drops into its slot straight away, so there is no need to press Enter. Capitals and accents do not matter, and a surname is enough when only one answer has it. When time runs out, or you give up, the answers you missed are shown in red.

Tips for a higher score

  • Use the clues. Seasons, clubs or the order of the list narrow down what is missing.
  • Go by club or decade. For "every Premier League club", work through the promoted sides of each era rather than guessing at random.
  • Type surnames. They are quicker and count when they are unique.
  • Come back to gaps. Skip a hard slot and fill the easy ones first; the clock does not wait.

Want a new question every day?

60 Seconds gives you one category and one minute every day, and Deep Cut rewards the Premier League player nobody else names. Both reset at midnight UK time.
